The hostel has 36 rooms situated on Jl. Kanda, Sanur, Bali. This three-storey hostel adopts simple BOH system while non hostel services are provided by third party. The 'U' shape Hostel’s mass block serves as an opening in the center of the site hopefully can integrate to the proposed villa to be built on the backyard. The concept of verandah is implanted to the suite room layout on the ground floor and standard rooms namely a studio-type room without partition. For instance, a transparent bathroom partition and straight terrace that links directly to the room. Nevertheless, each room terrace are comfortably shrouded in a non-massive wall that splits the exterior room. All BOH spaces are situated in the basement. Since the site is located in the vicinity of local settlement, the building must be ultimately maintained to adopt an open design to concord with the surrounding.
Such sense of openness is reflected from the open plan lobby that extends up to the pool area. The hostel’s corridor on 2nd and 3rd floors are provided with a mere secondary skin made of local materials i.e. Balinese kerrawang bricks.
